Saw the trailer for this movie while watching the finale of 24. This movie looks awesome. Great cast (Denzel Washington and John Travolta). With Travolta playing the best type of part for him, the villain. I have yet to see a bad movie where he is the villain of the film.

At work, so unfortunately can't get to a link for this trailer. If anyone else is able, feel free to do so.

Mixed feelings about seeing this, the original is one of my favorite NY films
but this remake has a good cast. Denzel rarely disappoints and Travolta
as mentioned has been at his best when playing a villain so I will check it out.

I'm highly looking forward to this one....action flick directed by Tony Scott, starring Denzel, NYC and the subway....what's not to love!

I'm just hoping the original gets some kind of tie-in on Blu-ray. Love that movie. The original remake wasn't that bad either.

Tony Scott rarely disappoints. Denzel, Travolta, and Scott, you really can't go wrong with that combination. I'm excited for this one!

Didnt tony scott and denzel work together on Man on Fire? If so then i will definitely be catching this one.

Not trying to crap on the thread but I have 2 thoughts about the movie:

1. It looks like every other generic Denzel movie to me (i.e., I'll pass); and

2. I do not like Travolta as the bad guy. Didn't work in that crappy Hugh Jackman flick (though we got to see Halle Berry's goods). Worked in Pulp Fiction, true.

I'm torn.

I hope so too, but remain skeptical. One of the best 70's thrillers and one of Walter Mathau's best.

I agree that this looks pretty good. I hate to say it, but have you never seen Battlefield Earth? Travolta is terrible in that as the villain.

In my opinion, I think the movie is going to be very good... and to the guy who said that Denzel makes generic movies... then you just don't know about actors. Denzel is one of the best actors there is. Top 5 in my personal view.

Try Swordfish if you want a stinker with travolta as a villian.

Forgot about Battlefield Earth. That was terrible. But didn't think Swordfish was bad.

"the guy" was me. I know plenty about actors, and I know that even great actors make crappy movies.

You haven't watched a lot then, because Denzel is not a cop at all in this film.

The Punisher says hello. "crappy Hugh Jackman flck"....wow. I beg to disagree. It wasn't that bad.
