Warner Archive has the fourth and final season of Black Lightning scheduled for a 12 Oct 2021 Blu-ray release.

I’m glad this is coming out. I was worried about it not coming out because the final season of Blindspot only got a dvd release.

I'm halfway through the final season. I've always really liked this show. It's the only CW superhero show I watch actually. Without any spoilers, are there any definitive reasons for the cancellation besides the usual "it didn't get high enough ratings"?

They never said why it was canceled. Most likely ratings.

They didn't outright cancel it, they said it was going to be the last season before it premiered IIRC, but they probably got word it wasn't doing so well and were given the chance to wrap it up best they could.

The showrunner said that he had planned for a season 5 but the decision to end the series came early enough(before they started filming the season) that they could make season 4 a proper ending.Unlike Arrow and Supergirl,Black Lightning didn't end under its own power.

And we haven't seen the last of Black Lightning.Cress Williams is returning to the role for the currently filming Flash five episode event,"Armageddon" that kicks off season 8.

Even though this season was a rushed mess I am still looking forward to having the complete series on blu ray

Its out and target has it cheaper than Amazon does. Amazon wants $29.99 Target has it for $23.49. Pisses me off Amazon won't Price Match anymore

Got this Tuesday night. Thanks WAC for putting this out on blu-ray. Unlike others WAC puts stuff out. Disney where’s the last two seasons of Agents of SHIELD?!?

I bought mine on Amazon had a birthday gift card I was saving for it. If you had told me a year or so ago id have all of Black Lightning on Blu Ray I wouldn't have believed you. S4 is a mess but it has some good parts

I'll get this eventually, not in a rush. Have some other stuff I need to catch up on and I don't like buying stuff too far in advance where the return period would be long expired before I get a chance to watch it.

my copy came and 2 of the 3 discs were loose in the case thanks amazon

Also cool to finally say I have the whole series on Blu Ray.

My copy came in yesterday with The Flash Season 7 Blu Ray.Ironically,they came in while I was watching the DC Fandome stream.

apparently s02 didn't come with anything other than the panel as a special feature. can anyone say if seasons 3 or 4 have deleted scenes, gag reels or anything specific to black lightning?

Season 3 just has the DC TV Comic Con Panel.Season 4 has the Black Lightning DC Fandome 2020 Panel and a promo for Georgia.

Sinbad should have guest starred on the show, since he was the first to play Black Lightning on SNL, just like Garrett Morris was the first to play Ant-Man and got a cameo in the Ant-Man movie.
