Default data transfer. usb or BD media ?

I have a mass amount of photos and videos which I wish to transfer to my ps3. Does anyone know what the fastest option is pls either a usb external hard drive or I can also put my files onto a blank blu-ray disk if its quickest.

How big is your HDD in your PS3?

If you have a wireless connection in your home I would just use a media server to send it across. Otherwise use whatever you want, USB saves a disc so I would go for that option.

i'm swapping my hard drive over today from a 40gb to a 320gb and once thats completed i want to transfer all of my photos/videos over a gradual period. my options are a usb fat32 external hard drive or use my pc to burn my photos etc to a blank blu-ray disk. rather not prefer the media wireless thing as i cant get to grips with it. question is which is the fastest data transfer rate usb or blu-ray ?
