Picked this up tonight. Didn't know it was out yet. Strange seeing a new 4K film in a store.

It's supposed to come out next Tuesday so you got it 4 days early. That's nice.

The film is fine. Not sure I'll rewatch it a lot other than in Marvel Marathons.
I watched the 4K disc last night. Moonraker was the highlight

It was your standard Marvel movie. Assembled with intense configuration management to ensure zero deviations. Nothing that wasn't displayed in previous films. Same interactions, humour, explosive climax and setup for the next project. An agreeable time waster.

Got my shipping confirmation from DMC yesterday. Normally I go to Best Buy on Tuesdays to get new releases but since I have 2 more orders to go to earn VIP status on DMC, I figured I would just order it there. Looking forward to owning this! Loved watching it in the theater!

A commentary track would’ve gone a long way to adding value on this!

Isn't it the first MCU movie to not have one? Or at least one of the very few afaik. Such a pity, would've loved to have had one and would've improved the extras a lot.

Iron Man 1, Spider-Man: Homecoming and Far From Home don't have commentaries.

Definitely one of the few recent ones without a commentary track. I wonder if the pandemic had anything to do with it? The tracks are usually recorded toward the end of post production. It’s possible it was planned or maybe even recorded in 2020 when they were finishing but before they got delayed. Anyone’s guess, but I’ll still pick this up at some point soon to complete the collection.

Seems weird to me that they couldn't just record a commentary track with at least the director, not exactly close contact kinda thing. If they really had to they could've even just done it remotely, voice recordings aren't exactly hard. But oh well.

Personally haven't listened to a commentary track since Lord of the Rings. Too much to do and too little time between work, family, and friends.

Hmm, I wonder why that is....seems like all versions (Blu-Ray, 4K, etc.) have been removed from Amazon.

Meanwhile, I pre-ordered the 4K from Target and it says it is expected to arrive September 20th. I guess waiting a week isn't the worst thing in the world...but I always liked pre-ordering things and having them arrive on day of release.

I have to assume so. Most, if not all of Disney's new releases so far of this year; (Raya & The Last Dragon, Nomadland, Luca and soon Free Guy haven't included Filmmaker's Commentaries. Hopefully those films will receive one's in the future weather they be re-releases or on Disney+.
Im hopeful that Shang-Chi, Eternals, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Speilberg's West Side Story & Encanto get tracks because those are films I'd love to hear the cast & crews perspectives on.

I agree it’s very odd. Even Alan Taylor did a track! Although it was heavily edited so Feige and Hiddleston make up a majority of the commentary. Maybe the lawsuit made everyone at home entertainment touchy?

Where are you seeing it for that price? Best Buy and Target are selling it for 29.99.

So the Target version is just a booklet packaged with a regular copy and an oversized slipcover, right?
