My vote is for The Howling. Other greats are The Wolf Man, AWIL, Silver Bullet, Underworld movies and Dog Soldiers.

My personal vote is the Howling. That film scared the crap out of me when I was a child. Plus the werewolf tranformation is my favorite.

Darkwolf is on the poll. I never seen that one. Is that movie cool?

Saw An American Werewolf in London at the drive-in. Awesome movie Can't knock a horror movie that wins an Oscar or has Credence and Van Morrison in the soundtrack Every time I hear Moondance I think of that movie (and the naughty nurse )

Agreed, Ginger Snaps as well, Dog Soldiers, Skinwalkers, and a few others, but the OP forgot to put 'the Wolf Man' up there.

THE HOWLING #1 followed closely by AMERICAN WEREWOLF

The original classic Universal and HAMMER flicks are all good--

Ginger Snaps was the most overrated garbage I've seen in a decade
and the CGI mess called DARKWOLF is atrocious beyond belief!

Werewuf says: "An American Werewolf in London"

However, the original "Wolf Man" is classic. I am looking forward to the upcoming remake and hope they have done it justice.......

Ginger Snaps may not be the popular choice, but as far as werewolf films go, it was pretty damn good and spawned two sequels. The casting was well done too.

This man has obviously never seen anything that Uwe Boll has touched.

Or Indy 4.

I was going to, this movie wasn't great, but a helluva lot better than I thought it was going to be.

How about 'Thriller,' the Michael Jackson video/short film?

I know the end they are all zombies, but the beginning has a werewolf scene.

Dog Soldiers may not be the best werewolf movie ever (I did vote for Dogs, as well as American, Wolfman (1941), and the Howling), but for such a low cost, it just might be the best Werewolf movie baragin!

I loved the action & suspense so much on Dog Soldiers that I wish it was based on a novel, so I could read the whole story! Plenty of action and suspense, not to mention folks getting ripped apart and such.

$ for $, Dog Soldiers is a great deal!

No, it was a blind buy for me and it is sort of, soft porn, bad effects, acting is bloody awful, script was written by a 2 year old, avoid if you are not stoned, then it is funny as f**k.
