****. Yes. Great title. Eager to revisit this, this time in much better quality than my first viewing.

I'm almost certain the trailer and short will be included, but I'm not holding out much hope for the documentary. Most of the times, due to clearance or right issues, these star profiles are unfortunately not ported over as they tend to include clips from other films. Sergeant York and The Thin Man come to mind as releases that have dropped the documentaries related to their actors.

I really love those documentaries done by TCM and the likes on WB/MGM stars, I think they were mostly done in the early 90s? Luckily I think I have all those I need on DVDs but certainly an upgrade would be most welcome.
My favorite was All About Bette with Jodie Foster, watched it countless time.
This one on Harlow by Stone only once I think.

I am finding that I still need to keep by WB DVDs after they release their blu-ray version. Too many good to great special features dropped for me.

Wow, I figured Criterion may have eventually done this title, but Warner Archive always has been consistent on their quality. Day one! Next I hope they get to Stage Door and Garbo's films.

I'm curious, what was dropped from The Thin Man Blu? I must have missed something, because I thought everything got ported over on that (there wasn't much to begin with on the DVD, as I remember).

jfearnside's right. There wasn't any documentary about the actors on The Thin Man DVD. If anything, the Blu-ray added two new special features, "The Thin Man TV Series: Scene of the Crime" and "Lux Radio Theater Broadcast", while losing Spanish, French, Portuguese subtitles for the feature and Cast and Crew text info screens from the DVD. (see the DVD Beaver review)

The boxed set had a bonus disc with William Powell - A True Gentleman and Myrna Loy - So Nice to Come Home To, a different episode of the TV show (Darling I Loathe You) and the 1936 radio version.

Thanks for the info! I never had the DVD box set, only the standalone releases. I did pick up the Powell/Loy disc you mention as a standalone also--I thought it was issued that way, but it sounds like someone must have broken it out of a box set. Anyway, I'm keeping that, for as you mention, it wasn't carried over to Blu-ray.

Well, at least one site is indicating that this release will include the documentary Harlow: The Blond Bombshell hosted by Sharon Stone (and the two other short extras from the DVD):

http://www.wearemoviegeeks.com/2021/...arner-archive/

It posted today, so maybe they have the latest info. Let's hope this is confirmed.

This was sourced from a 4K of their best preservation elements, according to the WAC Facebook page. I have a sneaking suspicion that it is Feltenstein himself posting these again.

I hope it looks fantastic, this was one (albeit at the top) of a laundry list of films I've been waiting for Warner to eventually restore and release on blu-ray. Now if they can just get to Little Women, Stage Door, the Garbo titles, and Humuresque I would be over the moon.
