It's a nice animation, i've seen several other trailers on Disney's webpage and Turning Red is amazing... if it gets a 3D movie i'll see it.

"Turning Red" will also get a 3D release like every Disney animation film, confirmed by RealD 3D long back.
"Encanto" looks interesting as well... looking forward to it.

As Disney keeps getting these new films released in 3D, it would be amazing if Random Space Media releases them on 3D Blu-ray.

I'd love Disney to keep releasing their 3D movies in Blu-ray 3D... but if other company can sublicense from them then that will be great.

Didn't realise this was getting a confirmed 3D release!

Now we hope for a MovieNEX release... or maybe even a UK/DE release. My logic is, unlike Raya, it's going to cinemas first, so it at least stands a miniscule chance of a 3D bluray somewhere.

Jungle Cruise had as much of a theatrical release as Black Widow did, but it didn’t get a 3D Blu-Ray. So I’m not holding my breath for theatrically released Disney Animation and Pixar films to receive 3D Blu-rays either. But I’d love to be wrong!

Jungle Cruise was live action though, so technically a different studio. I'm not holding my breath at all, but Wreck It Ralph 2 came out exclusively in 3D in Japan, same studio, so maybe we'll randomly be blessed again

Does RSP have a contract with anyone besides Sony?

Also Universal and Disney apparently, but many of us feel certain that Disney would not let another label produce exclusive home media of their content, seeming as they are borderline fascist with their content and its distribution.

aka discriminatory, particularly towards those who enjoy art in different form with legitimate 3D depth as well as those individuals who still have the 3D tech to enjoy it outside of a theater. Life has depth, why shouldn't owned home media as well?

I'd wager if Disney rec'd 50 letters complaining about the lack of 3D blu-rays being a personal form of discrimination it would do a lot more than 500 generic customer service emails wondering if a movie will get a 3D BR release.

Writing a letter is too much work for most folks these days.

Well you can now book tickets for this in the UK but neither Cineworld nor Showcase (the only UK cinema chains I am aware of that still offer 3D) are offering 3D screenings. That's very disappointing. If we are no longer going to get animated Disney films in 3D in UK cinemas, and Disney are done with 3D BluRay (excluding the Japanese Marvel releases), we in the UK may never get to see any more 3D Disney animations :-(

It's not impossible that 3D screenings get added at a later date, of course, but I won't get my hopes up.

Unfortunately that's what it looks like is happening. On the plus side, it means I will save money by not buying cinema tickets or 3D Blu-rays, but I also won't get to enjoy watching the films in 3D.

I'm very sad about it because I love Disney animations. But I won't be able to fully enjoy them knowing there's a 3D version out there that I can't see.

Disney animations in 3D have that magic that just isn't there in 2D for me any more. The last couple of Pixar movies I watched on my phone and I still haven't watched Raya. I'm not sure I will bother with Encanto either.

This "IMAX enhanced" thing coming to Disney+, LG comments on 3D TV & upcoming "Avatar 2" gives me a lot of hope there will be a "3D Section" filled with "Raya 3D", "Soul 3D", "Jungle Cruise 3D", "Free Guy 3D" and all the other titles within the next two years.

I can also not enjoy a movie flat, knowing there is a well done 3D version...

I'm still waiting for the marvel cartoons of the 90s to appear on Disney+ that are avaiable everywhere but not here in portuguese language. Because of that and the lack of the 3D section that i still haven't signed the service.

Bottom line... the news gives us hope, but we need to keep our feet on the ground.

Kids cartoons in 3D does not draw a lot of paying customers, understandable why the lack of advanced showtimes, they will decide the week prior if there is room available for those showtimes.
