Can we have a Soapbox section?

Hi,

The Blu-ray Movies - USA and Region A seems to be getting cluttered with a lot of personal opinions.

There are these threads:

Annoyed at some Blu marketing.......

Buying a blu-ray is like buying a box of cereal with no ingredient labels.

Even worse is this thread where someone asks for help but instead gets bombarded with personal opinions:

Digital Copies.

Only a few of the posts answered the original question, a majority of the other posts are bickering and complaining.

So you're suggesting a special place for people to vent? Maybe not a bad idea.

that's what i was going to say as well. it might not be a good idea to have a forum solely for people to vent. i see off topic as more of the area where you can express disappointments/personal statements & opinions/etc and many threads similar to the ones you listed OP generally get moved down there by mods (just depends on the thread topic as some are better left in Bluray movies/releases)

The problem with off topic is that if someone does go off topic, it rarely gets moved. Check out the Digital Copies thread that I mentioned. Its gotten far off topic and yet it still remains open for people to use as a soapbox for personal opinion.

i understand what you're saying, but the thread hasn't been moved because the thread topic is based on something that directly relates to bluray movies. people will always bring their opinions into threads regardless if it is asked for or not, that's just how forums are and that's why there are mods if things get out of hand my .02 anyways.

REPORT it, its will get fixed faster

I think it's an excellent idea, a rant forum would be fairly popular around here.
