Wasn't Amy Henning supposed to be working on a Star Wars game?

Or did she be on that till it got canned and then moved to this?

She's been on a few projects that have been cancelled. She hasnt had the best luck since leaving sony

Amy Hennig created the Soul Reaver 1 and 2 games on PS1 and PS2, both cool adventure games. Defiance was a step in the wrong direction for the gameplay but the story was good.

Jak 3 I never played.

She wrote and directed the first 3 Uncharted games.

She also wrote the new Square Enix game Forspoken.

The companies did not announce which Marvel characters would be featured in the game or a release date or platforms for the project.

Ah, there's a throwback i haven't heard in so long. I'd LOVE a remake of Soul Reaver. They are ripe for that gothic, horror 3rd party aesthetic.

I’d prefer a new Legacy of Kain over Soul Reaver honestly.

As far as that quote, "blockbuster action-adventure game" sounds very promising.

I'm thinking it might be an X Men game they'll be doing but i mean, if you want to take a really challenging property to adapt that's team based. The Fantastic Four would probably be one of the tougher cookies.

It's possible, and I would bet they'll go with characters not previously covered in recent Marvel games.

One thing is the most of Amy Hennig's stories involve a single main character, and then maybe a sidekick or secondary characters, but usually a main hero. Raziel, Drake, Jak, even the new Forspoken game will have a single female hero with her talking bracelets sidekick. Even her canceled Star Wars game was going to feature a single hero character.

She seems to feel most comfortable with stories about one lead character, so in that sense, I'd be surprised if she tackles a team based game. It's possible though.

That's very true but if she did decide to delve outside that comfort zone, i think a team based story could be possible. Mind you, the Guardians of the Galaxy is apparently only one playable character with Star Lord with branching decisions to make.

So i guess we'll see what happens to the whole thing.

I wouldn't mind a team based game as long as it can be enjoyed as single player offline as an option, which she seems to favor in all her games so far thankfully.

Tech demo talk with director Amy Hennig it looks like.
That looks amazing, but let's see the actual gameplay in real-time at 60 fps with 4K visuals and then I'll be really impressed that this is the first big sign of new generation graphics with Unreal 5 since that Tomb Raider like Tech Demo and Burning Shores (Horizon 2 DLC on PS5).

I don't usually get stoked for Marvel games but after GotG and the fact Hennig is behind this I'm so down for it.
