Default Transporter 3: Video Issues (Color)

I have tried two discs now and they both have the same problem. Whenever there is a mid-light or darker scene with lots of color you can see waves. It's hard to explain but you can see the color moving. For example, paint on a wall you can see the color moving and its very distracting. In the daylight scenes its not noticeable, and the PQ is stunning throughout but has anyone else noticed this? It can't be my setup because every other movie to date has looked great and not had this problem. I tried playing with saturation settings and that didn't change anything. Any ideas? Thanks.

I haven't had any PQ problems but... I noticed that the rear audio is backwards or flipped in the True HD mix.

I'm not sure whether it's my copy or if it's happened to anyone else. It's annoying because I had to swap the wires round to watch it properly.
All my other BD's are fine for this so I know it's not my setup.

Can you please give me a few examples. Pans or crashes or anything...I want to check it out.

Thanks

This movie is DTS-HD MA 7.1...not TrueHD

And IMO the audio was one of the best tracks on BD.

little off topic...but anyone notice in transporter 3...when transporter kicks the glass out of his car window...the next shot he is closing the door and the window is back? and then a couple shots later he is rolling the window up?

I dont know how other people dont seem to have the problem with the waves in the color...every other movie I have is fine and I've tried two discs for this one. You can literally see the color moving around it's like you can see the plasma gases or something, really wierd. Like I said, not in EVERY scene but a fair chunk where there is alot of the same color.

@ Riley Parrish

I'm in UK I have the English version which is presented in Dolby True HD 5.1 and LPCM 2.0 Stereo also.

After your post saying I questioned myself and could have sworn it said DTHD 5.1 and not DTS MA HD 7.1 -- I watched it on my PS3 again to make sure and now I'm looking at the back off the case to make sure. Yep still says True HD... The AudIo... LFE and surround is awesome just the left and right surround is flipped. I noticed it first on my second watch through after he beat up "The big one" and threw the shovel, when it hit the ground it went to the wrong speaker ???. Then I went back to the famous Audi through the wall scene and I hear the car coming in the wrong rears again. I don't know what to do other then import the DTS MA HD version from you guts apparently as it seems correct.

First, the original question: It sounds like it's an issue with color banding and it's most likely your TV. You said you messed around with the saturation. Also try tweaking with the contrast/picture and turn down the sharpness on your set. In your sig it says you have a plasma and PDP's are usually better with color banding but if it's a crappy brand...

I noticed this too, but go back and watch it. After he kicks out the window, they have the car in a shop and there are people walking around. I'm guessing he took his car to the shop to get the window repaired ASAP. You know how picky he is about his clothes. Of course he's going to take care of his car.

Is this just such an insanely high quality movie that it happens? Like I said, in no other movie..and I've watch almost every blockbuster on BD in the last year, does this happen...odd.

My TV is a couple of years old and it's really easy to see color banding but I never saw any when watching Transporter 3. My guess is that your settings on your TV aren't calibrated and probably set too high.
