Hello,
Can anyone confirm or deny that UMD video from Europe will play on a PSP imported from Japan (or vice versa)? I own the Silent Hill Experience, which is basically a game, but it's officially a UMD Video disc. I would like to import a PSP from Japan, but I would like to be certain that it works. It is said that PSP uses DVD region coding, which would mean Japan + Europe are fine with another. Can anyone confirm that? |

I cannot confirm Japan and Europe being fine with each other. But I can confirm North America and Europe or North America and Japan not working together.
UMDs are sadly region locked even if you jailbreak. But the normal games fortunately are region free. I have european Breath of Fire 3 and Japanese games I play on my North American PSP. I also have what I think is a euro PSP because it is locked out of my north American UMDs. |
