This looks surprisingly very lazy from Arrow. Same art, same booklet, same slipbox, etc. What??
Hard pass for me (on top of having no interest in that giant statue and the ridiculous price). You'd think Arrow releasing American werewolf in London in 4k would be a big thing, why they'd go and do such a poor job is beyond me...

Edit: lol just saw the real price, around 250$ Canadian hahaha. Oh Arrow, what is happening here?

Brand new 4K restoration by Arrow Films from the original camera negative
Nice. And should be interesting. Will wait for a regular LE though.

'The hand of Zavvi?' If you'll pardon the gag..

And as for lazy, they did exactly the same thing with The Hills Have Eyes - it's the blu-ray collector's edition, bunging a 4K disk inside and slapping a shiny 4K HDR sticker on the front.

As for this set, I do like the disclaimer 'Final product subject to license approval'.

Looking at it, I can't help but imagine Universal's reaction be all like...

Had a feeling Arrow would be doing this, verr glad I sold on that fooked French UHD as quickly as I did. Obviously I'm no' paying 150 smackers for it as I'm not insane, but a regular edition or editions will shirley be released, if not now then later. Don't need any other tat as I've already got the Arrow LE BD.

And a "brand new 4K restoration"? You'd better believe it. Turbine did one of their fake AI regrain jobs on the current 4K master, whereas L'Atelier appeared to have left it 'as is', but in each case the actual amount of expanded range on offer was minimal and in some cases actually less than the Arrow 2K SDR restoration. No, this needed a PROPER 4K HDR remaster and I'm so glad it's getting one.

Gah! What a hideous monstrosity! That kind of ridiculous tat is what I'd expect from the likes of Nameless. Never in a million years did I think Arrow would stoop so low. What's next? Getting Krekel on their payroll? Holding off for a more sensible edition to drop.

Since they were bought by the group that owns zavvi I'm surprised we haven't had more tat like this coming from them.

Give it time, give it time.

Have to admit I'm not that well-versed on exactly how tacky Zavvi products can get as I rarely visit their store apart for the odd item that gets highlighted on these boards and also that happens to peak my interest. The Dune Ltd Deluxe would be the most recent one and one of only a handful of orders I have made over the years.

Heh, I didn't mean that in terms of defending them. Just surprised it's taken this long to get the tat-train rolling!

The Furry market will no doubt be all over this one. For reasons.

I might spring for an Arrow vanilla 4K if the reviews are stellar. Otherwise...I'm good with the Turbine.

This seemed inevitable. Glad it's coming. Will be waiting for the non-tat edition though, for sure!

Good to see the 4K editions are working their way through different labels. Very surprised UNIVERSAL STUDIOS themselves didn’t release a domestic disk for the 40th Anniversary this year. I’m passing on this, but I did buy the NECA 7” Kessler Werewolf as a X-Mas gift for myself. This is my fave Horror/Comedy of all time.
