With kid #2 on the way, I'm about to begin painting and preparing the new baby's room (once we find out what it is)

We didn't find out what the first one was (Boy) so we painted the room a light green color, and when we moved to our new house, we just re-painted the same color.....

I'm tossing around the idea of putting the new baby in our current son's room, and completely re-doing another room for our son, and going with a Theme, etc.... He's 1 Yr, 9 MO, so he's just into cars and trucks mostly...... but I was thinking about doing a NY Mets theme because he has some autographed stuff I had etc..... but I'm not sure yet...... I gotta come up with a good idea (I have ZERO toys from when I was younger....... so a Star Wars theme, etc... would be very costly for me )

EDIT..... BETA MAN..... HI-JACKER FOR HIRE

Just had my son almost 3 months ago and I also have a 4 yr old daughter. We didn't find out about the sex of either, so the "nursery" was done in a light green and yellow color. We kept it that way and it still is after my son was born 4 years after my daughter. They were born 4 days apart in March (it was planned that way for each and worked out for both as my wife is a teacher and took the rest of the school year off with the summer!) I can't wait until my daughter asks to watch LOTR (in blu no less when this happens), as it will be a complete movie day, with us sitting there and watching all 3 in a row. My wife was already warned that this is my plan, so my daughter will get a real good taste of what Daddy's system can do! Can't wait!

don't worry beta....the room my son is in now was originally green b/c it was my daughter's room when she was born.

we moved our room upstairs, moved my daughter into our old room, and set up the nursery for when my son was born. we didn't find out w/either one so we painted his room blue a couple of months ago...like i said, she finally got me to finish the shelves for him and trim the base boards a bit so i could fit the new register's in.

GOOD LUCK

i tried to watch all 3 yesterday (the extended versions) and only got thru 1 with my 6 1/2 year old son.
he likes the movie, but i feel bad having him sit in front of a tv on a sunday when he could go outside & play.
the good part is we watched part 1 at like 9am so we were done BY 1pm

it didnt help that i wanted to enjoy my sunday as-well.

next weekend = the two towers

Of course not, they could love Star Wars it's not reserve for boys. I say watch the movies with them you might end up with some memories that will last you for the rest of your life.

i always thought the best part of having a little man was making him , but seriously i do look forward to sharing all..well most of my experiences with my son whom is 9mths and watching him destroy my StarWars and Batman collection, but how many 9month old boys have 200+ stormtroopers .at their disposal.
