So glad this is finally getting a release but those extras are pitiful. Couldn't they have
gotten more of the cast ? I've met many at conventions and they all loved the film.
A Chainsaw and Dave commentary would have been great. At least a feature on the
special effects in the classroom massacre scene. Oh well, still glad to have it

I love this movie. Great comedy and it introduced me to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Hopefully this isn't a dusty early 2000s master, but I'm getting those vibes. I guess if it can at least look and sound as good as Kuffs I'll be happy. Leatherface, Leatherface, Leatherface!

Sadly, Encino Man is Disney (along with Son in Law, two of my most wanted ‘90s comedies)

Pauly Shore films are hard up on Blu. I'm shocked Bio-Dome made it before a lot of those others, and we got Jury Duty (meh) recently. My Encino Man DVD isn't even anamorphic so I haven't watched it in years I have an HD vod, don't know if it's an upscale or what but looks good to me.

Yeah, with the exception of "NEW "School's In For Summer" – An Interview With Actor Richard Steven Horvitz", all of those extras are from Paramount's 20th anniversary "Life's a Beach" edition DVD, released in 2007. (Their previous DVD, from 2004, has no extras.)

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad it's finally getting a Blu-ray release, but I can't believe no one else wanted to talk about the film.

Fast Times (the TV show) came out before this.

Besides, there is only 1 Jeff Spicolli, and that would be Sean Penn.

Don't sell my boi short, Ski School and Miracle Beach are late night classics. He was also in Men at Work.

The Kuffs Blu Ray was also low effort, this is Shout Select and not their main line. It is a shame though, there's a ton of people in this and they couldn't track down anyone else? Not even that dude who stayed in the restroom the whole movie? (heard his zipper got stuck).

One of the best 80's movies ever! The cast is amazing and the movie is funny. It's one of those rare films where you actually care about the characters in the film and you want to see them succeed.

Dean Cameron was in quite a few movies and TV shows after this. He never became a big star, but he never fell into the pitfalls of Hollywood fame, either.
