Question Timeline of U.S. Studios - Suggestions?

I've started working on an infographic to show how the MAJOR Hollywood studios have developed. I'll post a link to my website with the full-resolution graphic when I'm finished, but I'm looking for feedback at the moment.

I'll never be able to fit all of the studios into this graphic, so I've had to be selective. It's primarily an exercise to see how the "Big Five" studios have changed throughout the years.

Very unfortunate that News Corp took the name "Fox" from 20th Century.

News Corp has almost a dozen companies with the name "Fox" in it. That's why they retained the moniker.

Yeah, I wonder what the overall timeline graphic could look like in 10 years. The Fox name has essentially been associated with Fox News now.

So Disney would have kept it if they could have?

Thanks again to everyone! Previous screenshots have been removed. "Version 1.0" has been posted here: https://zepfanman.com/studios

Really well done. The only thing I think you should really add is the Turner takeover and eventually sale of MGM to WB in the 80s, as the MGM company after that event is barely the one that existed prior to it, with its entire catalog gone.

I’d also probably add Miramax but that went from one major to another making it very complicated. Universal with Polygram and Focus would be also okay additions, Disney with Touchstone being another. Never seen that UA logo before

Thanks, I really appreciate it. Since Turner never had a movie studio afiak, I left him off the graphic originally. You make a good point, though. Take a look at version 1.1 where I've already made some adjustments, including a mention of Tuner in the MGM section.

Sorry, I didn't refresh the page when I commented earlier, and I missed yours, ParamountChris. I had Touchstone in there, but I ended up removing it to cut down on clutter. At some point I may figure out how to squeeze more in there. The main purpose for creating the graphic was to compare the very early studios with what exists today. A lot of the inbetween I left out.

Very informative graphic. The market share info was very eye-opening. I always had the impression that Warner Bros was the biggest one.
