Update I just checked Amazon’s website and they have a 48 inch LG OLED for $796.99 with free shipping.
One can now buy a 48 inch OLED TV for $899.99 at Best Buy and other retailers. LG model OLED48A1PUA. So, prices are coming down even though there is inflation in some electronic products. When it comes to Smart TV’s there appears to be a bubble in selection and QTY to choose from. It appears to be too many TV’s on the market, and most consumers already have several TV’s in their home. The average consumer upgrades their main home theater display every 10 years. Some consumers will wait 20 years or until the TV breaks before upgrading, especially if it’s a bedroom TV or another room besides the main home theater room. I perfer the bigger screen 77 inch and 83 inch higher end OLED models, but this is good news for the average consumer that does not want to spend anymore then $800 on a OLED display. I hope this bubble in flat panel screens does not burst which could result in less selection of Smart TV's to choose from several years from now.

There is always other brands like Sony and VIZIO in OLED screens if one does not like LG.
I actually would like to see OLED screens being made one day between 24 inches to over 100 inches in size. Then maybe one day Micro Cell TV’s between 24 inches to 100+ inches. |
