In what may possibly be the biggest release of 2022, Full Moon Pictures will be releasing Prehysteria! 2 on Blu-ray on April 5th, sourced from a scan from the original 35mm negative.

Those adorable pint-sized dinosaurs are back in PREHYSTERIA! 2, the frantically funny follow-up to Moonbeam Entertainment's smash 1993 family film classic PREHYSTERIA! When the Taylor family goes away on vacation, they put their tribe of diminutive dinosaurs - Elvis, Paula, Jagger, Hammer and Madonna - under the care of the kindly Mr. Cranston. But the creatures escape and wind up being shipped across the country, where they're discovered by a young girl named Naomi and a lonely rich kid named Brendon. Soon, the heroic dinos are called into action to help Naomi save Brendan from his cruel governess who not only hates all animals but aims to send the boy away to a military school so she can take control of the household. Directed by Albert Band (I BURY THE LIVING, GHOULIES 2) and filled with charming stop-motion special effects by the legendary David Allen (PUPPET MASTER, THE PRIMEVALS), Full Moon is thrilled to be bringing back this wacky and winning kid flick better than its ever looked before, in a gorgeous HD transfer scanned from the original 35mm camera negative. Wow! I rented this all the time as a kid. I own Full Moon’s release of the original Prehysteria! but probably won’t be—who am I kidding? I NEED THIS.

I haven't seen the first, but that trailer makes it look like a pretty fun, and silly movie, with healthy dose of 90's nostalgia.

More Moonbeam titles are always a welcome sight.

The Jack Kirby movies would be cool although I'd prefer if they did a box set of all six at the same time, however, that is unlikely to happen.

Beyond those, the Frankenstein Reborn! and Werewolf Reborn! films would be a pleasant surprise, especially the first since it adds more DeCoteau to blu-ray.

These kids movies from FM can be very hit or miss. I watched The Secret Kingdom on Prime the other day and it had an interesting premise that dragged on for a bit too long. The concept of a world underneath a kitchen sink is pretty entertaining, but there really wasn't much done with it. However, it was cool to see Jamieson Price as he later went on to become a very prominent voice actor. As for the Prehysteria sequels, I'll take them.

The blu-ray for the first Prehysteria! cracked me up because the disc opens with an incredibly graphic gore and sleaze filled trailer for other Full Moon movies. Made me wonder if any parents accidentally traumatized their children just by plugging in the disc.

I remember watching these as a kid, but for the life of me I can't remember any details other than one was on at a mini-golf course lol If they do the 3rd, I might get them all.

Came here to ask the same thing. This is a rare Full Moon release I'd buy full price on release day. Just give me that chance!

Looks like this one did get released and that's good. Hopefully the third film will also get a release to round out the trilogy.

Ah, thanks for the heads up! Found it on Amazon. Very strange that it’s still not listed on the Full Moon site, nor has it been mentioned at all on their fairly active social media pages.

Mine came from Bullmoose earlier this month. Unlike the first film this one did not come with a slipcover.
