Rosemary’s Baby and La Dolce Vita would be “no questions asked” day 1 purchases for me.

It would still be a nice extra to get the TV cut on there (which, shockingly enough, was remastered in HD).
Unfortunately, I said I would never buy the digital versions of anything, but did that change during the 2 year pandemic where physical disc sales were sparse. I have probably purchased 50 4K digital movies during that time. I too will be re-purchasing many of them where a physical 4K disc comes out, I think.

Normally, I hate sequels that are made decades later because the stars careers have stalled and they need the money. But watching Travolta and Cage at this point in their careers try to outdo each other would be a blast to watch, no matter how bad the movie is....

Yeah, I'm picky with my digital purchases, lol. Most of my VUDU/Movies Anywhere account is from digital codes from physical releases. But, if I spot 4K options on there when there's currently no 4K disc, I jump on them... Rocky is a good example, as I snagged that 4K during a sale, and there's still no physical 4K. But, if there's a 4K option when I know a physical 4K is around the corner, I try to be patient, lol.

Yes, either those, or Chinatown and the Godfather Trilogy.

I'm happy either way.

Yes, it is a steep cost of entry, but I'm tired of waiting for a disc to deliver something it likely never will.
I see where you are coming, but man. I just looked at the pricing...steep pricing is putting it mildly.

Person working with restorations at Paramount mentioned it on the Criterion podcast and the dude who works with Coppola also said that the elements are being worked on on the same podcast, different episode.

So why did Days of Thunder and Almost Famous get simultaneous BD/UHD releases? Not complaining, just curious.

Just makes me glad that I spent so little upgrading my DVDs to Blu-ray. I figured the UHD was coming, but that DVD set was taking up too much room on the shelf.

I still can't believe that Chinatown 4K isn't even rumoured when so many lesser films are already out in 4K format.

Does this definitely confirm Liberty Valance? The phrasing is a bit vague to me, but I hope it does get a 4k release.

No. Just that to expect this series lineup to hit 4K in 2022. No specific titles mentioned.
