Yeah I cant find a review ANYWHERE on the net.....I thought this movie was kind of popular.

I watched my copy yesterday evening. for all the naysayers out there complaining about mpeg2 and specs etc.... Go to AVSforum. I compared the disc against the special edition DVD that it came with (nice little comparision feature.)

audio quality wise this was a nice upgrade, good use of the surrounds and definitely the oomph where needed. This movie never had an audio track like The Incredible Hulk so don't expect your sub woopher to be bottoming out every 10 seconds but it is a substantial upgrade to the anemic DD track on the DVD.

and the picture quality looks rather nice being that it's only the movie on the disc so it can get good results without sacrificing image quality. The Blu thrashes the DVD in terms of picture quality, a lot more fine detail is present and no excessive use of DNR as well. I A/B'd the discs and there is no comparision, the blu beats the living tar out of it. Road House has never looked or sounded better and is very much worth the upgrade,

I will say the same thing for Navy Seals as well. Just finished watching that and they did a fantastic job upgrading this film.

yep yep!!! gotta agree with wormraper on this... we sat down to watch this blu last night and was really surprised at the audio and video... very nice upgrade from DVD comparison. turned our bass up on our receiver a couple of notches and the audio was just right during the kickass music and the fight sequences!!!..

we dig getting these older films again on blu-ray because it feels as though we are seeing the film for the first time all over again ;-)... can't wait to see more catalog titles from FOX & MGM!!!

Fox and MGM consistently send review material out late, if at all. Don't expect many reviews anytime soon...

I had this bluray movie months ago. Why did they re-release it? Looks like a better audio track this time. Other than that, no clue.

Looks like the same disc to me, just without the DVD copy included.

The pack contains a DVD copy of the film. Is it the Special Edition DVD with all the extras, or is it barebones?
