I’m just mad that it looks like some people are getting extra inches from Sony and I’m just here like:

My one I ordered from Target has shipped(shockingly it was shipped UPS-NOT Surepost)-says delivery on the 1st. Looking forward to this.

Well, I'd trek the ten feet to get the remote and then press the down arrow. If the price of having CE3K revisited with a Dobly encode and the OG subs restored is a pop-up over the credits then bring it on.

I mean, all douchebaggery aside I get why it's a problem for y'all, especially those who do that whole "I treat my cinema room like an actual theater" thing so they don't want anything to spoil the illusion (I'm suddenly thinking of Bruce Campbell's cameo in Spider-Man 2) but me? I'm under no illusions that I'm in a small room watching a 65" telly and real life can and does intrude at various moments (people at the door, kitties needing feeding, getting up to get a snack or use the bathroom) so the amount of "immersion" I get from the viewing conditions themselves is secondary. I close the curtains and that's about it!

Not that I'd want stuff popping up all over the screen all of the time, in case anyone applies that fallacy to what I'm saying, but I can handle a single pop-up over the end credits (or swapping over a disc in the case of LOTR or Lawrence) without it ruining my day, you know? I guess I'm gifted with enough concentration to be able to enjoy what I'm watching. And I'm one of them 'watches the credits until the end' types too so it's not like I just turn the movie off when it ends, I likes me some credits.

Posted this in the Ghostbusters thread but just a heads up for the UK Ultimate Collection box set. It is slightly different to the US version. It has a few things missing.

The Trap Box has no lights inside.
No slipcovers
No GB 2016 digital code.

I'm clearly in the minority of people who enjoyed Ghostbusters 2016 -- so I wish it was included. I've never understood all the hate -- the same with the female-led Oceans 8. (I guess I answered my own question.) But I already have the UHD, so no big loss.

I just read about this, it's unbelievable. Now, as I already said, I'm worried that the italian release will be the same.

Just watched this. Had reservations about it but really enjoyed it. Around the two thirds mark I was starting to think it was pretty much a remake of the original but then the finale really made it.

Sony have ditched UHD slips and digital codes europe-wide as I understand it.

I'm still a little annoyed that Sony didn't revisit GB16 with a new dobly encode and the theatrical cut for this set, but I also understand why it was left out, this set is about the continuity of those three movies, not the entire franchise as such (which may be why the real ghostbusters pilot pitch thingy on the previous GB 1 + 2 bonus disc was apparently removed from the bonus features for this set). Though they've thrown in a code for GB16 at the last minute to make it look like they're wanting to appease those folks!

The credits pop-up is stupid and some kind of Netflix binge-watching-bandwagoning of some kind but I can live with pressing a button to immediately make it go away. Now if it were baked-in or un-toggleable that'd be a different story.

Sadly no, those tickets are impossible to get good seats for without spending $$$$$. Though I have been to others and those intermissions just aren't long enough to be useful lol

Well it depends when you book for shows and what seats you go for, although I don’t know what the prices are like in the US. I’ve just booked for 4 shows in London’s West End in March for around £250 in total. All the seats are either front row or second row and quite central and the shows are Wicked, The Lion King, Frozen and Phantom - that’s not too bad.

Anyway, the point I was making is that you have a first act and a second act in almost all staged productions unless it’s a very short show, so that will be where the intermission is in Hamilton on Disney+.

This is what I think too, unfortunately. And the Europe prices are higher than the US ones. This Sony's choice about the distribution of this set is absurd.

It is, and on top of it, it's got too much garlic.

No French audio or subtitles on the disc I'm afraid.

That's the price of a single ticket to a single show in the back sections...if you can actually get it through the original ticket seller. Most times you get stuck with 2nd market which only jacks the prices. It's on my wishlist along with The Cursed Child.
