Default The Great Escape 2: the untold story

I see their is a Japanese release of this in April, anyone know anything about it?
I’ve not seen it in ages, would like to revisit, hope it’s not the truncated version.

Its been streaming on Amazon Prime for a while now. I stumbled upon it while searching for 'escape' movies and was pleasantly surprised to see it was listed let alone able to purchase and the stream was in HD! That HD print isn't to shabby for a late 80's Telemovie even though its no comparison to the Original movie. Its one of my guilty pleasure films from back in the day.

Apparently, Multicom owns this and has done a 4K scan of it. The problem is that it was originally aired on TV in the US in 1988 and I doubt it was intended for a widescreen presentation, but Multicom's new master is in 1.78:1, with some shots looking opened up and others, mainly close-ups, looking cropped. Because the directors and cinematographer are dead, I doubt we'll ever know for sure if they really ever thought the film might be shown in widescreen, but regardless, I'd like to know how the HD master was done and if we are losing image to get a 1.78:1 presentation. I guess that will have to wait for an image comparison with previous video versions. The Japanese Blu-ray currently says it will be 16:9:
