Moviezyng has now changed the cover art to a BD-R of the theatrical version as well and in the movies description it says

"Note - this is the theatrical release, not the unrated version."

so it looks like it's indeed a BD-R of the theatrical.

Why is Paramount wasting time, money, and resources to make a BD-R of a movie that is already available pressed? Oh well, I'll continue to not support this movie, unrated or GTFO lol

I emailed Paramount to find out what was going on... They replied "Unfortunately we are not permitted to share details on our release schedules and/or promotional details outside of the standard press releases"

Such a strange response for a company that wants you to spend your money on their products.

I suspect we aren't getting the Unrated Cut.

I kept thinking I pre-ordered this, but thankfully, it was just saved for later. Needless to say, I won't be purchasing if it's not the unrated version. I wonder why Paramount backed out of releasing it?

Hopefully, a licensee in Europe can license the unrated version from Paramount and put it out there.

Probably won't make much of a difference but I sent Paramount an e-mail urging them to make the unrated version available.

It won't go unheard, I bet people have been waiting for this and pre-ordered... so Paramount's like awesome, money! but now they'll all be cancelled. They'll wonder why and won't put together that it's because it's not unrated, but they'll know something caused the complete failure of this release's sales.

You can still by the one that came out in 2017 (for like $10) but you can't pre order the new one now.

what a pathetic move by Paramount, it's not like there are any legal issues or lack of a master since even Amazon prime as the unrated version in HD and heck it's even one of the free movies under prime so no excuse for them to suddenly bait and swithc the blu-ray to an even more garbage version of the old blu-ray for twice the price of the old one!

iTunes only lists the R rated version, is it actually the unrated version?
