The music cue is present during 'What heart?' if that clarifies things.
I’ll be happy to stick with the old disc with the 4.0 track though.

Is there a consensus on this disc yet or too early? Seems like it won’t be worth the double dip from Fox Blu from what I gather..

Same here. I canceled my order until comparison caps are posted.

Why r u returning it? Why buy in the first place? You think it's no better than the Fox BR? Just curious...

From the other posts on here, it looks like it uses the same master as the Fox Blu, which I already own. Had I realized that earlier would not have pre-ordered. All personal preference but for me $30 for fancy packaging and extras is not worth it, and this is one of my favorite movies.

Thanks. I agree with you, $30 is a hard pill to swallow if it's for additional extras only. But, I still think Criterion will improve upon the Fox BR. If so, it may justify a purchase during the Criterion/B & N/Amazon 50% sale...

I don't know why everyone's surprised that this didn't get a new restoration. Criterion never advertised it as being one in the press release, nor on their website. Flash sale should be coming up soon, probably worth waiting on it anyway.

Yeah, I'm a bit confused why they didn't just cancel the pre-order a week or two prior.

Aside from that, I’m confused why anyone would preorder anything from Criterion, especially this close to a Flash Sale.

Because a week ago it was preparing to ship, and I was unable to cancel it? Does that sufficiently address your patronizing remark?

I didn't realize I preordered from Criterion, this is news to me. I also don't have the Flash Sale dates memorized.

It's really bizarre how a simple forum exchange can go so ridiculously sideways. I posted the cover art because I thought folks would be interested, and pre-empted any questions about PQ because I know that's the kind of information people seek out.

And what about 2 weeks ago? Because 2 weeks ago, on January 25th you were told that it's basically the same as the old, and the only reason to get the Criterion is for the extras:

It would make sense that it's the old version with some new extras (I only watched the Bryne and Turturro one which is OK).

So, yes, you will likely be 'upgrading' for the extras only.

2 weeks ago I was busy living life and probably forgot to check. What is so inexplicable about any of this? What personal harm have I caused you? I find your inability to let this go very bizarre.

I wasn't trying to make a big deal out of this in any way, or trying to be patronizing in my first post. Before I made that first post, I noticed your post from 2 weeks ago where you were told it's basically a purchase for the new extras, and wondered why you didn't cancel it then. I questioned it more for your own sake, in having to deal with the hassle of returning it now.

edit: Chris and I already ironed it out privately, but I also would like to apologize on here for my previous post which was too aggressive and rude. I should have handled my response better.

Yeah I dropped the ball there. Lesson learned

I also offer an apology for being unnecessarily defensive towards the questions around my decision(s)

I'm not pointing a finger at anyone, but why would someone make a decision to purchase or return physical media based on ONE person's opinion of the title? 🤔
