Default Can Dolby Atmos do 96/24 bit audio?

Can Dolby Atmos do 96/24 bit audio? I know Dolby Atmos does 24/48 bit but can Dolby Atmos have a higher bitrate?

Max is 24/48. That means the audio can have a flat response beyond 20 KHz. A large part of the populace probably can not hear even 15 KHz so it makes little sense to have a response beyond that. If need be I can generate tones of 15, 18 and 20 KHz so you can test for yourself. Need to be careful, I know several that burned out tweeters trying to hear those tones.

Dolby TrueHD (including Atmos) data stream can go as high as 18 Mbps (18,000 Kbps).

24-bit/96khz is where Atmos taps out. 24-bit/48khz is the standard spec for Atmos work, because it gives full compatibility with current baseline consumer hardware. Support for 24-bit/96khz Atmos audio is growing in consumer electronics as of last year, so it is now being found in new devices and added to older ones, via software updates.

Posted info from old Dolby PDF. Dolby TrueHD supports up to 24-bit audio and sampling rates from 44.1 kHz to 192 kHz, info here.
