Into Darkness they just
[Show spoiler]brought back Kahn
, for Beyond it felt like an original TV series episode with better production values.

Tough choice. I loved Jaylah and the character moments with the main cast in Beyond, particularly between Urban and Quinto. But the action sequences were better in Into Darkness and Cumberbatch has amazing presence despite the character he plays.

Beyond, easy.

They delayed Into Darkness for so long because they wanted to take the time to do a good film, and the 'best' they could come up with was a remake of an existing story.

And as Canada said above, Beyond really felt like a legit Trek 'episode'.

Beyond because it feels like people have said it feels like a Star Trek episode. While I do enjoy Into Darkness it's just a remake of a far superior film.

I prefer Darkness. Yeah it's kind of a remake but I thought it changed it up enough to be interesting. Beyond was like Insurrection.. Not terrible but not big screen worthy.

I really liked INTO DARKNESS. chemistry among 4 leads was excellent. It is much better written too.

plus, having 50 mins of IMAX 1570 celluloids helps big time to engulf you into another planet.

INTO DARKNESS was exactly what was required after reboot.

Beyond because it finally showed the great friendship between Spock and McCoy.

Beyond. It was a bit more fun and didn’t feel like a bad retread of a previous movie, despite the filmmakers saying it wasn’t Khan. Bunch of idiots.

Beyond just kind of felt...indifferent, I guess. I don't know. Seemed superfluous. I really like Into Darkness and feel it's Abrams best film. I know there are definitely some issues, but every time I've watched it I just get wrapped up in it.
