Can't wait to start taking advantage of the Facebook functionality. Now, if I only had friends that own a BD-Live compatible BD player, like the same movies as me, have a facebook account and care about BD-Live, I'd be in business.

I still don't understand - how exactly will "coordinate" with facebook? Does the app simply say you now own the movie? Or that you're watching it? Or does it add it to your interests? Or do facebook notifications pop up in the middle of the movie? Still not sure what one has to do with the other. I think it's mostly "social media" hype at this point. |

I wish to find out whether people are using BD-J features such as Facebook. Will this become a white elephant after spending millions of dollars by the studios.
I certainly do not want to get interrupted while watching a movie. This is the case for everyone known to me - they just get annoyed when interrupted while they are focused in their "movie world". As far as I understand, people do not want to get interrupted while watching a "good" movie. Studios really should think of improving the "passive" movie watching experience. |

With everybody doggin BD-Live, perhaps Warner has made a step in the right direction with this technology. There's certainly plenty of potential with BD-Live and it's only a matter of time before a studio can figure out a useful and interesting use of it for consumers. I, for one, and going to give it a shot. |

It appears to me that studios are running out of ideas... Making more good movies would be a starting point. ![]() |
