It's been a while since I've pre-ordered at Zavvi, the last was the Howling 4K steelbook and that dispatched the same day they took payment. t

Gaffer & westieslovesblu also say this is slower to dispatch from Zavvi than usual.

As for Arrow, dispatch times have been mixed, but they haven't taken payment quite this far in advance recently which suggest they had stock when payment was taken. Note one of their responses states they usually dispatch within 24 hours.

Mine too. Was well packaged, thankfully, as it landed on the doormat rather hard!

Oh I rather like how this one turned out. You get past the dupey titles and it suddenly looks amazing. The grading looks spot on in DV.

I can see why the Beaver’s caps looked so dark. Without a mangled SDR convert it goes nice and dark without seeming too dark, if you get my gist.

Edit: the more I see the more I like it! If someone can’t handle a little yellow in the grain they don’t deserve this.

That's pretty much the bane of HDR caps right there, yeah. Though it doesn't help that Tooze is a buffoon.

Can someone that already has this please confirm whether or not all of the 'tat' is the same as that for the previous blu-ray LE?

If it is, I am seriously considering cancelling my pre-order at Amazon and just picking up the standard amaray 4K (because let's be honest, they're going to do one) at a later date and swapping out the blu-ray from the first box.

NOT happy about buying the same stuff twice

I can confirm that it's exactly the same stuff in both releases.

Yeah...it's all the same stuff. I wish they offered a Steelbook alternative with the OG artwork as they did with Robocop. That would have at least gotten me to double dip.

Waiting for the standard release as well as I purchase the '19 BD release. Love that tat, but don't need duplicates!

I'm keeping the LTD blu set and doing exactly this, for this and Candyman. I shouldn't have bothered selling off my Robocop set for the 4k, but what's done is done so will have to drop the £35 for that upgrade.

The LE first model is what's keeping the Indie labels alive. Release a limited deluxe, and a standard when that sells out. Everyone was just waiting for sales when it was standard first. LEs encourage people to pay more, and earlier.

I know it's not a hard rule, as Frankenstein gets a standard release at the same time as the Zavvi exclusive steel. I'm just saying, generally I understand why when they do, even if for some this has been a misstep here given the only difference from the earlier LE is the disc is 4K this time.

Hopefully this sells well regardless (since it looks lush in 4K), and you'll get a standard edition fairly soon.

Absolutely loved this presentation, not an eye catcher necessarily but easily the best this has looked on home release. HDR feels very natural and atmospheric, the London neon towards the end is bold and stark and a bit scuzzy compared to the drabness and mulchy greens and browns of drizzly rural Yorkshire - exactly as it should be. Soundtrack is also excellent, music sounds full of life and dialogue is rich and full. I doubted whether it'd be worth the upgrade but I'm very glad I went for it.
