Default Lost Season 1 and 2

As these are just about to be released I'm kind of tempted to get get them, especially with such good reviews on their pq here. I cant help but notice though that they're $45 on amazon.com and £47gbp over here, which makes me wonder if it's worth importing. Are the U.S. discs actually region free like the review states? Am I likely to get stung with import tax? If so, will it make it cheaper just to get them here?

I'm importing them to Europe as well. I used the promotion bluray code back at the beginning of this year on Amazon to shave off an extra 20 USD for all 4 sets.

To give an example, I got my season 3&4 box sets together and paid 10 euro import VAT (in Belgium).

According to all info I could gather, season 1&2 are region free (because they've already aired virtually everywhere), seasons 3&4 are not.

axelmusic.com has them for £ 37.69 each which is cheaper than the current pre-order prices in the UK.

I'm just curious though, if Season 3 & 4 are region locked, I would have to buy them from the UK, does anybody know if the packaging is the same or different as I think that would look odd, having the same tv series in different sized box sets.

According to their page on this site, the USA releases are region free.

More importantly, season 3 has not even been released in the UK/Europe on BD.

Where are you getting this from? I've checked every day to get my pre-order price-matched, but haven't seen them dip below 48.99. I'm using the 20 dollar code, but it never hurts to make it even cheaper.

Yeah, I just wonder about the packaging, as I said before it would look odd to have some slim sets and some regular size box sets of the same show in my collection.

Well, I'm sure it'll be released soon enough, squeezing two sets out on the same date is pretty cool, but it would be nice to fill the gap by christmas if possible, along with season 5.

I'm assuming they meant they are $38.99 since you would get $10 off each season with that $20 off if you order 2 deal.

I think I'm just going to buy the UK versions just to be sure, even if I have to wait for Season 3 and 5 to be released, atleast I will know they all work and all have the same style packaging.
