Question Twin Peaks / David Lynch films on Blu-ray

What are the chances of Twin Peaks (The Series) or Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me coming to Blu-Ray? This is probably one of my favorite shows of all time. I would love to see it come to Blu. Also, any word on David Lynch's other films making it to Blu? I can't think of any that are out currently...

I'm sure when he eventually does a movie that makes sense, it will hit Blu-ray in due course

Thumbs up

I would specifically like to see the following Lynch films on Blu:

Mulholland Drive
Lost Highway (just made it to regular DVD in the US about a year ago)
Blue Velvet
Dune (previously released on HD-DVD)
Eraserhead

I love the Farnsworth movie. I think it's Straight Story? I have it on SD DVD.

Default Fire Walk With Me

I'm with you, I'd love to have FWWM on blu ray. That movie freaks me out so much. Really hard to explain, but so many scenes just give me the creeps.

The first year and the last 6 episodes of TP the series were excellent too.

His best movie (and this is not an opinion) The Elephant Man is coming out in the UK this summer.

The HD-DVD version was decent. It wasn't cleaned up but the level of detail compared to the dvd was a nice upgrade.

I can't remember where I saw it but Twin Peaks and FWWM was in the unconfirmed releases section.

Dune has good PQ and AQ according to the thread in the wishlist area of this site. It's a French release but the subtitles are not forced.

Wild At Heart has a French release with forced subtitles.

I am sure I saw The Elephant Man rumored for some other region too.

No links I am afraid, but it looks like we will get some Lynch in North America soon.

Oops, ignore everything I said. I was posting elsewhere and did not see the last few posts.

I'm a pretty big fan of Lynch's entire catalog, but The Elephant Man is my most desired title.

I can't believe I forgot about this one...The Elephant Man would make an excellent Blu title!

I'm not big on buying imports, so I hope they release it here in the US

My all time favorite movie!!! This movie really changed the way I view movies, and it's my "test" to any new date I'm bringing home. If the they manage to sit through to the end the girl is worth my time.

But we need some US Blu-ray's of the Lynch movies. An version of Mulholland Dr. without the blurred out pubes would be nice. Since the blurring is Lynch's choice I guess this will never happen, but...

It's funny you mention making your date sit through it...one of my old girlfriends watched this with me and complained the whole time...she thought something was wrong with me to be enjoying a movie like that. Of course, now she's my ex. Haven't tried it with my current girlfriend...It was on Netflix streaming in HD, maybe it's time I give her the test...
