While I'm not impressed either, I think they were going for that Atari-like design. Yeah, I think it's pretty week, though I don't like to insult someone's art... Hopefully the cover has original poster art for the sleeve.

It's worth pointing out the following in this thread as well...

Konami Codes and Cult Classics: Programming CLOAK & DAGGER" - a brand new extended making-of documentary featuring interviews with the cast and crew exclusive to this VSU release

This seems to imply that another (cheaper) alternative is likely coming from Universal eventually for folks that are content on waiting things out and don't like the idea of spending $46 to have this shipped to them.

Wow, great news. This was a huge childhood favourite. I knew it would come eventually but I imagine it would be Kino or Shout slapping an out-of-date master on a disc. I'm blown away that VS is involved because IMO they are the gold-standard when it comes to treating films properly.

Trust me I don't like paying $46 for a single blu-ray either but I have given into these Boutique labels because they keep releasing films the major studios won't release.....but I have also paid close to $200 for used 8-Track Tapes so maybe I am not the right person to comment on this.

I've been on the hunt for a decent copy of The Dark Side Of the Moon on 8-Track for a couple years now.

Funny thing, but there wasn't a cartridge release BITD. The footage in the game is from the arcade version. Even more frustrating to 5200 owners back then, there are boxes in one scene in the movie for a Tempest cart that wasn't released at the time.
