COD4 so called "GOTY" edition - Blu-ray Forum

So I picked this up with Best Buy's nice $29.99 sale and fully thought/expected that the GOTY edition had the free map packs with it either on disc or as a key code insert. I was wrong! There is nothing for the map packs. I searched around CAG and found out that supposedly the map packs were only offered for a limited time when GOTY edition was first released. This is some BS on Infinity Ward and Activision's part. It appears many others thought the map packs were with it as well. So word of warning if some of you are thinking of picking it up and are expecting the map packs.

Did you report to Infinity Ward and Activision about this? Perhaps they don't put in the Map Packs in the game anymore. Sorry if I'm mistaken, but I just have the original version.

In the meantime, call them. If your problem's not solved, sell the game and buy a new one instead.

You should be thankful, the map pack was terrible!

I deleted mine. Waste of 800MS points.

Mine had the code as a separate insert.

For those that said they got codes, did you purchase recently or get it when it came out?

I purchased mine after..last year though. does your say map pack included? Mine had a sticker on the front

Same thing happened to me. I went to Gamestop to pick up my copy and when I got home, there was no insert or anything. So I go back to GS and tell the guy and he said that what happened was that it was a limited run and after a certain point they would stop putting the redeem codes with the game. I guess the GS employee got a call and was told to take off the stickers that said "Map pack code included".

I should clarify this. This is referring to the "original" GOTY last year or whenever I bought it.

my friend got the goty version about 2 months ago and it didnt have the map pack.
