Basic details:

More Lumet blu-ray releases please! Really want to see THE HILL (1965) on blu-ray.

Have this on pre-order from HMV but not yet dispatched (and saying back in stock soon).

HMV will be receiving their stock late I guess…

Yes, I had an email apologising for the delay because of a delay in receiving stock.

I didn’t even receive an e-mail! Ah well, no huge rush to watch it but hopefully it’ll come into stock soon

Received mine from Amazon yesterday. Wish they'd done better artwork on this but grateful to finally own this on Blu-ray, and BFI have even done a full-sized booklet for it!

Here's to much more Lumet and many more gems from the Paramount library...Child's Play next, perhaps?

Still no sign of movement from HMV so might have to cancel and order from the BFI instead. If this edition comes with a full sized booklet, I don’t want to miss out!

Yes I called in at HMV and they said they hadn’t received it. A pity because I like to support the shops. I ordered from Amazon. Excellent picture quality.

I have the Olive films release of this. I wonder how different the PQ is (if at all).

Are there any bonus features?

I also prefer to order from shops as opposed to Amazon if I can.

I e-mailed HMV today to see if they could confirm when it could come in. I received no reply.

I then checked this evening around 6.30pm to see if it had come finally come in stock - it still hadn’t so I caved in and cancelled the order (having FOMO about the booklet) and brought it from Amazon.

Have just checked HMV now and it is finally in stock. Sigh.

Typical.

The retailers have been let down by the looks of it (Zavvi, Base and Deff still awaiting stock).

Glad I pre-ordered from BFI this time.

Have been interested in this, but the theme seemed quite grim. At £7.66 seemed worth a view though https://www.rarewaves.com/products/5...er-dual-format. Now to wait for a few weeks, like have been for Mulholland Drive for sometime now...

Grim, yes, but really wonderful.
Great performances, strong directing, no detours, no excuses.
What a film, what great, fleshed out characters!

There are few films I'd like to recommend as heartily as this one.
