HI
I have a infocus X1 projector, with no HDMI input, and I would want to know if I can connect a blue ray player. I saw on HDFURY.COM that convertissor can do the job; Does anyone have already used one, or do you have an other solution; Do you think it is possible to convert digital to analogic? thx for advance, Nicolas |

Doing some looking it looks like the main issue is HDCP. You will need to make sure what ever you get will pass the signal on. Otherwise you will just get a black screen.
http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...t=1#largeimage Looks like this would work. You would output from your blue ray and input HDMI. Then i assume you would output vga. Last edited by TVguy86; 06-13-2009 at 05:18 AM. |

Hi
thx, but But a friend of mine told me to try plug component and HDMI in the output of blueray then with the receiver I select the HDMI for the sound and component for the video,. I could have select the 1080i in the output of th blueray, and direct sound for the output of the blue ray. So I have the HD sound and the video in component, ( the pj accept it too) So my probleme is solve easily thx . |

I added a HDFury2 to my Mitsubushi WS65908 this will allow for standard DVD's to be upconverted to 1080i in the BD player |

DVD upconversion won't matter since the projector will do the processing of the standard definition video, also virtually no blu rays are given the downconversion token that will downconvert the component video to 480p so I wouldn't worry about that. If the projector can process 709 REC color decoding well, then blu rays will look better than standard definition DVDs even at lower resolutions, but higher resolutions do benefit.
