I still cannot watch this movie without closing my eyes at certain scenes... it gets pretty disturbing.

I posted earlier in the thread that some/all of the extras from the Australian release are being ported over, if not new extras as well. So it's definitely not going to be barebones.

Unless it looks significantly better than the Aussie release (which I spent nearly $30 on), I'm good. With no collectable slipcover, this can wait for a future sale.

Great film, still holds up!

I am a little disappointed in the extra features, as I'd like to have seen a documentary into the actual incident that inspired the movie, but overall it's not bad.

Hope it gets a UK release.

It should look a lot better if the other 4K scans of Paramount titles Scream has released. Still, I'm sure it will be on sale at some point if you're in no hurry.

In this regard, it's worth noting that while Paramount released Event Horizon and Escape from L.A. on Blu-ray (some time ago as well), they never bothered with Ghost and the Darkness and Fire in the Sky, so I agree, we shouldn't necessarily presume the same strategy is in place.

This is one of those movies that makes you sit through so much to get to the really good part, and that part is not compelling enough to upgrade for me.
