MUBI will release Paul Verhoeven's Benedetta (2021) on 1 August 2022. This should be MUBI's first 4K UHD release.

Excellent news, hopefully MUBI will continue to release movies they have the rights to that failed to get a 4K release in N.A. like First Cow, Annette or even Drive My Car if Criterion doesn't announce it for 4K

Really nice, I didn't want to buy the German release so I'll buy this one. Can we expect a booklet and/or a slipcover ?

Slip yes, no booklet.

Drive My Car is Modern Films.

I would only buy this if it has exclusive extras or subtitles the documentary from the German release.

Presumably, MUBI's UHD will have the original French titles and texts in the film, so that would be another reason to buy it. I've not watched my copy, yet, but apparently the German UHD uses a localized German master, with German titles and texts.

To the best of my knowledge, when I turned on English subs, I didn't notice anything wrong or anything else popping out of the blue.

Has it been confirmed that there will be a slipcover on this? The pictures of it make it look like there isn't.

All MUBI Blu-rays so far have a Slipcover although it's not visible in the product picture.

I thought the film was excellent. Was going to buy the German release but it looks like it's better to hold out for the UK one at this point?
