Sorry to start a thread on this but I can't find information on it anywhere else.

Hotmail has been acting up all week, anyone else notice?

What is wrong with it?

I can never get in, always times out, dies or won't let me logon correctly.

What's wrong with it? I can name a few things (including Microsoft) but Hotmail is sooooo 1999

I had no problems at all.

I work at a bank and they restricted access to all 3rd party emails, so I can't check all the time like I used to until I get home.

I couldn't get into Hotmail or MSN on Monday morning for a couple hours but other than that I haven't had any problems.

Maybe they are doing rolling brown outs of certain accounts or servers or something... anyway I could get in the odd time this week... maybe 10% of the time I tried. But I use it alot so getting frustrated!

nope i can get my emails just fine

Damn, it hates me for some reason... i am at work though, but not getting any websense issues... it just times out or tries to get me to logon again and then hangs forever... i will have to try it again from home and see if it works.

Whats wrong; you need some gmail thats what will fix it.

I've had no issues either, however I am getting inundated with spam and I don't know why. I have had my account for over 10 years and I've never received any kind of spam, other than the occasional one. All of a sudden last week I'm getting like 40 spam emails a day. I block, I try to unsubscribe, but nothing and it's royally pi**ing me off. I scanned my computer with various anti-virus, spyblockers, ad-aware, etc and it's of no use.

Any suggestions? I'd hate to delete my account after all these years, but I may have to.

Hotmail has its issues periodically, just like any other (especially free) web-based e-mail providers. I haven't noticed anything this week, but I don't check it all day long or anything — and the times I have logged on it has been fine.

Do you have any sort of junk filter on? I use Hotmail's free junk blocker and about 90% of the spam goes to the junk folder. I still get 3-4 spam messages a day but it could be a lot worse.

Like others, I've had my hotmail account for about 12 years and now I only use it for when I order stuff or when a website needs you to enter a e-mail address. I don't want to use my work e-mail for that type of stuff so my hotmail does fine.

It does go into my Junk Floder, so that's not an issue.....it's annoying to have it all though, especially since I'm very careful about giving out my email and I don't visit any promotional or garbage sites. Oh well....we'll see what happens.
