Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge (2022)

Superhero Hype broke the story today, that a new game based on the 1987 TMNT cartoons is in the works. More than that, the even bigger news is that all four Turtles' voice actors have returned for the project. Here's the full announcement below...

Original TMNT Voice Cast Returns For Shredder’s Revenge Video Game

The upcoming video game, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge doesn’t exactly hide its influences. It’s an updated take on Konami’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade games, both of which were based on the original TMNT animated series from 1987. And although 35 years have passed since the series premiered, the four actors who voiced the Turtles on that show are making a comeback.

IGN is reporting that Cam Clarke will reprise his role as Leonardo, alongside Townsend Coleman as Michelangelo, Barry Gordon as Donatello, and Rob Paulsen as Raphael. Additionally, IGN debuted the first 11 minutes of gameplay, which should look very familiar to anyone who ever played the Konami games.

The first half of the video follows Leonardo and Michelangelo as they pursue Bebop through the Channel 6 news building. Note that Vernon Fenwick is held hostage in the background. That’s a role that was typically filled by April O’Neil on the show. However, April is a playable character in this game and she probably won’t be kidnapped…this time. The Turtles’ sensei, Splinter, is also a playable character.

For the second half of the video, Raphael and Donatello take the spotlight as they catch up with Rocksteady. Again, the stage is very similar to the second area from Konami’s first TMNT game. There’s even a callback to Turtles In Time when the guys toss a Foot soldier towards the screen.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge will hit PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC later this year.

Yeah the RADICAL EDITION doesn’t ship unlit 8 to 9 months after July 24th of this year. So pre orders ends on July 24th.

They end on July 24th. LRG games always end on a Sunday evening. This is actually a few weeks extra because it originally said July 10th when first put up.

I almost jumped on the RADICAL EDITION but I can’t justify $200 for 1 game. I will be buying a digital and physical copy as back up.
