Night the Lights went out in Georgia - Blu-ray Forum

Does anyone know who owns the rights to release this on bluray. It is currently on moviesphere but only for 6 more days. The print is HD but seems to be an older print. Not sure if another streaming service will be picking it up after it leaves moviesphere.

I just finished watching my ancient VHS copy just to learn that it was available on Moviesphere due to your post. I went searching for any info about a digital or Blu-ray release. When I found it on Moviesphere it said it was leaving the service in 24 minutes. I am watching it again anyway. Not the greatest transfer, but it's still way better than my old VHS copy. I've always suspected it was song rights keeping it from being re-issued. A very specific song - Tennessee River by Alabama. The only song that wasn't specifically recorded for the soundtrack. By the way the soundtrack was re-issued on mp3 and made-to-order CD through Amazon. Not sure if they are still available, but I snagged the MP3 version. I'm still hoping for a Blu-ray release someday.
