Score--I'm glad they announced this because I didn't pull the trigger on the Eureka like I usually do, and I prefer to have domestic releases when possible.

well, it depends on the pricing. I have found that Arrows in the US (as opposed to the UK) is higher than Eureka or Arrows imported.

I just just ordered the Eureka one. I just wrote to them to cancel it, damn. I love Eureka but if a Region A release is just as good, I prefer that over a Region B (since I can't land my region B movies to friends or watch them in a different room since I only have one player for example). Hopefully it's released in July too just like Eureka's version.

Great news about the Arrow, glad we know it’s coming cause if not I would’ve bought the UK version.

Awesome news! Love Running Out of Time and didn't mind the second one either. Andy Lau does a great job in the first one as he does in pretty much all films I have seen him in.

I have these on DVD, really like them. 1 is the better film but both are worth watching/owning so this will be a definite buy for me.

Arrow is also releasing an online-exclusive slipcover version with original film artwork instead of the commissioned one (similar to the Come Drink with Me and The 8 Diagram Pole Fighter exclusives):

Can't wait for this. I'm just happy we are getting more Johnnie To on Blu-ray here. I just hope someone releases Election 1 & 2 here at some point as the Tartan release is easily one of the worst looking Blu-rays ever.

Damn, this is a much better artwork than the newly commissioned one. Unfortunately, as a Canadian, if I import this new cover it comes to nearly double the price of the regular release on wowhd.ca
Can't justify paying that much just for a different slip. Really wished these exclusive covers weren't, well, exclusive to their websites. :P

Love the original cover art. I almost bought the eureka version, which I’m sure is great as well. I wonder why Arrow remasters in 2k and not 4k?

Watched my set and both films look great. Pretty insane how just a few years ago HK cinema was in terrible shape in terms of restorations, and now it's everywhere. Either way, great set overall.

Now, can we get a proper release of the two Election films? The Tartan release is honestly one of the worst things out there.

In case you missed it, Chameleon Films (who will release Johnnie To's Breaking News and Exiled later this month) hinted at Election a few days ago (link):

Interesting that Australia will be getting Breaking News, Exiled, and Election on Blu-ray proper before the US or UK. These are are some great titles.
