I thought this was an unreleased CW pilot, & didn't realise this was a fan-made Kickstarter funded thing until I started watching it.

It's competently made, but the writing & acting's quite poor & I found the high school setting irritating - I'm too old to watch teens be *****y to each other, especially when most of them look like they're about 35. Of the lead quartet, Velma's the only one who looks or acts remotely like their cartoon counterpart.

It feels like it's just riffing off Riverdale & Nancy Drew most of the time, & using the latter's real ghosts & supernatural elements thing is a bad idea too. The charm of Scooby Doo was that it was always Old Man Withers wearing a spooky mask or something.

I can appreciate the effort put in by the cast & crew, & a gritty, live-action Scooby Doo is an intriguing idea, but this did very little for me.
