It's hardly a new label, however welcome, just another branded line from an existing one.

That has to be a simple (though odd) press release omission surely. It looks like an exact port down to the cover art but they don’t include the new interview with the director..?!

From What I gather/read the High Crime running time is the same as the English export version which changes the fate of several charaters at the end among other things.

Not necessarily: SC frequently don't carry over extras from their own editions when they upgrade or between territories. They're not carrying over the introduction or 21 minute Walter Hill Cowboy in Hollywood featurette from their French edition on EP while the version of Princess of Montpensier in their Tavernier boxed set loses the 24-minute interview with Tavernier and trailer from their earlier release (and his unsubtitled audio commentary is only available by the French menu).

The two EP extras you’ve quoted - might they be in French? I’m inferring from the note on the dvd compare listing that they might be bearing in mind they state the 2019 Hill interview is in English. If so it makes sense that they weren’t ported - but yes your point stands in that they haven’t ported the Hill interview if it was ‘theirs’ - and is the one on the Vestron disc. But what is bizarre is if the Hill interview is new and they have paid Vestron for those interviews but chose not to take the Hill interview. Why? Because they have a perfectly good 2019 interview that they then don’t include on their new UK disk..?!!

The previous lengthy Hill interviews on titles like The Long Riders, Southern Comfort, Streets of Fire and Johnny Handsome have been done by Robert Fischer's Fiction Factory. Their site hasn't been updated lately but if they did the one on Vestron's disc but Vestron did the others themselves or with SC that would be two different licensing deals and SC may have only licensed or cooperated with the Vestron ones. If the 57 minute interview on the French disc was produced by a third party it may only have been licensed for France.

I just ordered from Diabolik DVD Film Art’s High Crime Germany Blu-ray last week. If the UK Blu-ray ends up not being cut, I might order that one because of its extras.

In for 'Extreme Prejudice' and 'Kill them all and come back alone'. Nice price as well at 15 quid.

Studio Canal's High Crime is missing approximately a whopping 10 minutes compared to the Italian version. What are the differences between the two cuts? Is the ending different?

The price on the Vestron US BD of Extreme Prejudice is too good to ignore, so I probably won't be getting the UK BD, but I'm glad to see it being put out and hopefully, Canal has a better encode if Lionsgate's encode is knackered.
Nope. Just the cut on the French disc so 99.9% chances it'll be the same for the UK. Here's the BDInfo of the French:

At least the bitrate is max'd out. But it's definitely a no-buy for me. Sad for a new label to start out like this. There's no excuse of missing/poor materials given that the Germans got the full cut. Time to hunt down the German disc then. I hate this

I've found out the scenes edited out by the BBFC, but I don't think they add up to the 10 missing minutes. Some other scenes must also have been edited out. Disappointing!

The BBFC hasn't censored anything in High Crime - it's the distributor opting to release a shorter cut.

If anyone's on the fence about the the German disc, it is has an English audio track, and Franco Nero dubs his own voice on it.

The problem with these filmArt discs is that the red-case versions are DVD cases, which is infuriating to me. The follow-up standard edition drops the booklet and uses a proper Blu-ray case, but that seems to take a year or so to release.

So if I buy this and watch it in English (which I hate doing, but bonus points for Nero dubbing himself), I either have to put up with the DVD case (which I also hate) or wait a year for the Blu-ray-case edition to come out (which I also hate).

Mind you, I'll probably buy it now. It's a huge shame that StudioCanal UK doesn't have much online presence, then maybe we could get them to fix the situation and switch to the full cut of the movie. Sadly, I'm sure the disc is locked now and the BBFC submission has obviously allready been paid for. I wonder if the UK branch even knows that the longer cut exists.

if it is the same as the french version and that's is 93 minutes and it's reginal B but Blu Ray.com say the UK release is 99 minutes and i presume it also will be reginal B that means the film is still 4 minutes shorter than the original 103 minutes version that make no sense unless Blu Ray.com as got it wrong about the running time and it is 93 minutes long

The running time of the film submitted to the BBFC is 93 mins so I think it is the Shorter US export version & NOT the original Italian version.
