Exclamation Amazon blu-ray titles quickly dissapearing from web site.

Up until the page 32 link below, you see plenty of movies with some titles missing from the list. But page 33 and beyind, previously displayed movies are "no longer available". I am almost certain there was a minimum of 46 pages of full content.

Is blu-ray loosing ground, or are those mislabled place holders?
Doesn't pick up again until page 36.

It's a website that does use placeholders, so it's more likely that's the case. If not, my second guess would be someone F'ed up & it's just an error.

Don't see anything blank now. Something probably just screwed up. Maybe they were cleaning out titles that people are assuming are coming out on BD but more than likely are a long way off or could have been Paramount titles. I did see Seinfeld Season 1 on BD. That could be a long way off if ever.

I have blu-fever rather badly now. I bought 4 titles over the weekend.
Just ordered A Christmas Story, TMNT, and Planet Earth (Mostly for being so highly touted.) Knowing they are on the way should keep me from buying until they get here.

I have bought more movies in the last 3 weeks of owning blu-ray then I have in the past 2 years!

Plus 2 extra HDMI cables for $1.15 each even though I have no need for the last one I bought. I'm ancipating.

Apparently they are sold out due to high demand. I got an email from Amazon.de today saying five of the six movies I pre-ordered aren't available until mid to end september. (Original release date being September 3rd)

This goes for Underworld: Evolution, Letters from Iwo Jima, Brothers Grimm, Phantom Of The Opera & Pearl Harbor.

And you can expect the "genius" Rob Enderle to post this as evidence that Amazon is going to drop Blu-ray altogether and/or that studios are quietly not making Blu-ray discs anymore.

It's not been announced, it's just a "sign up and we'll let you know" thing.

As I have been saying, "Mind share", can be more powerful than market share. But I agree, an exclusive release of Star Wars on blu-ray will be the death blow of the rebel alliance. <breaths deeply: Ko-caaa, Ko-caaaa> Activate the death star. <Ko-caaa, Ko-caaa>
