Default Masking Panels for 16X9 screen

Planning to make masking panels for 16X9 screen to cover the black bars for scope movies.
I am reading various ideas on AV forums. I will update here once I start the project. Does anyone had any experience making them here? Love to hear some thoughts.

Thanks.

I live in Florida and the houses down here not have basements , So my theater is in my living room. Use it for casual watching during the day and fire up the projector if I want to watch big screen (120inch)at night,Behind this screen's a 65inch TV, My top mask is just a simple pull down roller screen that I made (parts are easy to get). And the bottom is just a bar with black cloth That hangs, both adjustable manually Crude but effective
