Kinda wish it happened in 2011. Wouldn't want it in 2021 though. |

There was supposed to be a Kate & Allie reboot made by Universal TV but it has been scrapped. I guess they figured it was kind of cheesy to lock out the original cast when they're all still alive, but considering how the show ended with one of them getting married, them still living together now, even if the new husband died or they divorced, wouldn't be functionally different from The Golden Girls.

![]() There was a pilot made for a new "The Saint" series that wasn't picked up by Fox in 2013. It sat unreleased until it was put out direct-to-DVD in July 2017. It starred Adam Rayner as Simon Templar and Eliza Dushku as Patricia Holm. Original series star Sir Roger Moore appeared, as well as Ian Ogilvy from "Return of the Saint". |

![]() Patrick Duffy announced in 2012 that he wanted to bring back his short-lived 70s series "Man From Atlantis". At the time he said that he had completed the first draft of a novel, which picks up 15 years after the series and explains the never-before-known origins of Mark Harris. He said that he wanted to write a trilogy and perhaps see the story adapted for the screen. The book came out in 2016 but the screen revival never happened. |

In 2003 NBC brought back the cop drama Hunter with a 5 episode order. A full season was planned for the fall, but it got scrapped. I guess the same can be said for the Nash Bridges revival a couple months ago. USA hasn’t mentioned a word of it

Not long after "Teen Wolf" ended, MTV said they were discussing doing a new series with a new set of characters. They did say that "the door was open" for previous cast members to make appearances.
Now a movie is set for Paramount+ featuring most of the original cast. Also, after TNT's new "Dallas" took off, some "Falcon Crest" stars said in 2013 that they were approached for a new series. Actress Susan Sullivan (Maggie) said at the time that the new series was to focus on William Moses (Cole Gioberti) and David Selby (Richard Channing). William Moses said that he was contacted and said "yes", but said that it was just a pitch and that he had no involvement with the production side. |

In 2007 ABC produced a U.S. version of the British drama series Footballers Wives, called Football Wives. Bryan Singer directed the pilot that starred Eddie Cibrian, James Van Der Beek, Lucy Lawless, Gabrielle Union, and Ving Rhames among others. ABC decided not to go forward with the series. Some speculate it may have been partly to do with their relationship with the NFL and not wanting to offend them. A few years earlier its sister network ESPN had a scripted drama series called Playmakers about a fictitious pro football team and league. It was well produced and popular, but ESPN decided not to renew the show for a second season because a few active NFL players spoke negatively and the league wasn't too happy with it overall.

Noah Wyle revealed on Steve Kmetko's Still Here Hollywood Podcast that there was some talk back in 2020 about reviving "ER".
EP/Writer John Wells and Wyle got some former "ER" writers onboard, but it ultimately never happened due to issues with Michael Crichton's estate. |
