I went through some acrobatics with a couple of Amazon associates, -which takes some doing to get a hold of, -and they consider that price matching (which thjey don't do, of course) They even told me there was no pre-order guarantee on that item. So, -no dice on a refund unless you return the whole item and re-order (which isn't worth it for the small difference).

Amazon customer service has become beyond useless. It's shocking how bad it is now. I suspect that's because it's outsourced and you're dealing with people who 1. have no real "power" to change anything, 2. may not even speak English as a first language, so there's always a communication barrier.

With that said, doesn't it take a couple of days after delivery to get the confirmation e-mail with any refunds you may have received from the preorder price guarantee? We haven't reached the end of the release date yet - which is today - so it makes sense that any automatic price match/refund would come after that. Who knows though...
I won't sweat it either way because I used a credit and still saved a few bucks, but it would be nice for Amazon to actually live up to its own policies.

Grabbed mine at BB since Wal-Mart doesn’t seem to be stocking it in stores (near me, anyway). They had several so I had my choice of best-looking slip. Can’t wait to watch this later!
Has anyone tried redeeming the digital copy yet? Is it actually HD on Vudu?
Yes, the code is Vudu only redeem and redeems HDX on Vudu. However, the film seems to play in SD on roku and my Sony 4K player. Although, playing thru Apple 4K TV via Vudu apps seems to be playing in HD. So, it may just a some time for Vudu to fix that.
The Dolby Digital tracks are the audio commentary and the isolated score / audio commentary. English subtitles are English and English SDH. All subtitling is in white font.
The interview with Walter Hill is from 2019 and was produced for the French Blu-ray from StudioCanal. The three other interviews were produced for this 2022 release.

My copy arrived from Amazon today (with slip) and just got done watching it. I'm very pleased with this release. Sure the transfer is dated but it looks pretty solid for the most part. Really cool flick with a killer cast! I've only seen this one other time on the crappy full frame DVD so watching the blu was a treat. With Imprint's upcoming release of The Warriors my Walter Hill collection is finally complete.

Walked into my bby and they let me swap my slip less copy for 1 of the 3 they had on the shelf and just looked at the sku to make sure they matched and let me walk out, no return needed
