Weren't Universal previously unwilling to give Shout the Chucky sequels? I wonder why they changed their tune.

The first is actually pretty damn good. The rest are just enjoyable schlock that know what they are and play it up with each entry. The 3rd one is my personal favorite because of the 90s charm of trying to be an R rated slasher with the mixture of "we know this will be on cable" mentality so the mixed bag is mixed.

LOL Child's Play 3 is hot garbage, but glad to see the first two getting UHD releases at least.

It may just be bias on my part because it was the first one I saw, but I've always been fond of Child's Play 3. I might even prefer it to the original.

Child's Play 2 is the best, though.

I mean hey, I love Jaws 3-D (also hot garbage) so I get it.

Also love Child's Play 2 (and it's about 10x better than it had any right to be) but IMO the best Child's Play movie is definitely the first. It's got that gritty late '80s Chicago vibe that really works and makes the movie far more grim than the later films in the franchise.

Will I also end up grabbing the UHD of Child's Play 3 tho? LOL almost certainly.

The Child's Play 2 erasure is making me sick.

Special shout out to the wildy underrated Seed of Chucky.

Both Bride of Chucky and Seed of Chucky are good sequels, and Seed especially is hilarious. It might be my favorite just because it's the funniest.
