Default Sundown (Tim Roth & Charlotte Gainsbourg)

So there didn't seem to be a thread for Mexican filmmaker Michel Franco's latest film.

This is an extremely concise (76 mins w/o credits), unsettling, deeply disconcerting movie that gets a lot of milage from Tim Roth's excellent performance.

If you liked his earlier film, Nuevo Orden, then you should definitely watch this one.

And importantly don't read ANY reviews of the film.

I saw the film without knowing anything about it only later to read reviews that gave away important plot points. I do think it is one of Franco's best films.

Decent slow-burner that never quite burns. Much better than Franco's previous film.

How does the blu-ray look? Concerned considering Decal's track record, and there are no reviews or comments yet on the disc. What's the file size for the feature, bitrate, encoding etc..?

I liked this film. It’s unsettling, but it does leave you thinking. Don’t go into it knowing anything.

I missed this in theaters. Too bad. I'm guessing it wasn't in theaters very long though.

It didn't stay long. But it should have.

Bumping my question. Any other opinions on this transfer from Decal?
