Code Red has dated its upcoming Blu-ray release of Yves Boisset's crime thriller The French Conspiracy a.k.a. L'attentat (1972), starring Jean-Louis Trintignant, Gian Maria Volontè, Michel Piccoli, Philippe Noiret, Roy Scheider, and Jean Seberg. The release, which will be distributed by Kino Lorber, will be available for purchase on September 14.

Looks like that has just been remedied, by Dr. Svet no less -- though he says it "has always existed in the shadow of The Conformist", when its English title was obviously created in the shadow of The French Connection the year before.
