Cool Resident Evil 4 (remake)

Play it...

In March of 2023. The 24th, to be precise.

Looks cool. But Leon doesn't appear to have really aged much.

OK. You can lock this thread, then.

I really need to start searching for existing similar posts.

I understand that it was a difficult decision, but you handled it well.

I don't follow.

I am looking forward to it, however.

Some Australian loser has been harassing me online for years, and spamming up a dead forum. So he's probably going to see this post and quote it. Get a life, James Berich.

But anyway, I'm done talking about this franchise. It's just not for me anymore. I'll still play the games, but to be honest, they're becoming too stupid for some old fart like me to worry about any longer. It is what it is. They're probably going to send RE into outer space eventually. It's kind of obvious they just make up silly ideas now as they proceed with the sequels. Hence why vampires and cyborgs is now a thing.

The fanboys are the problem, unfortunately. They don't care. It's something new to play. A lot of these people even admitted they cannot enjoy the pre-RE4 games because of their gameplay and camera perspective. Yet real RE fans don't even care and we think that was what gave the series the personality it became renowned for.

That says it all. They don't like horror gaming. Action is what drew them in.

It's so hard to say. I mean, RE4 probably has more replayability for sure and is a joy to play. However, the RE2 Remake had a lot more to do from the ground up.

I played through the remake, and I hated how they added in more puzzles. It kind of halted the fun a bit, but this was a really good remake that was mostly faithful to the original.

Sure, it still had things cut or altered for some reason, like the lazer hallway section. But yeah, it was really good.

Unfortunately, I'm just not all that daft on RE4 like most people are about it. I kind of think it's a silly affair, because you play a government agent who buys all this cool stuff from a vendor. I think that destroyed the survival horror genre by removing the tension, while ironically also saving the franchise after the sales numbers had dipped with the previous games.
