Default USB to ATA/ATAPI Bridge Controller [HELP PLEASE]

Guys, I can't use my external hard drive because I think I don't have the driver for USB to ATA/ATAPI Bridge Controller. I tried to google it and I found Bafo and the others but most of those links are dead/outdated. Help me get the proper driver please. Thanks guys.

What operating system are you using?

What make of external disk is it?

If you are using Windows 2000 or higher, it's unlikely you will need a driver disk, especially if it is WinXP/Vista.
It's possible your drive is faulty.

I'm using a XP Service Pack 3. My uncle was the one who fixed that. He even tried to transfer some files to it and it work. He also used Windows XP Service Pack 3. But when I try here on my laptop, it won't work. I've also tried it on Vista but it didn't work. Driver Search failed.
